As a sleep coach, what is Prithi's process?

Pediatric Sleep Consultant & Coach Prithi, will take you through the following steps to solve sleep challenge in your baby


  1. Goal setting

    Ask the parents for desired outcome from the engagement. This could be problems like difficulty falling asleep, frequent night wakings, or short naps. Depending on the problem, Prithi will recommend either a session based engagement or a 2 or 4 week long program

  2. Assessment

    Prithi has the assessment call with the parents to understand the family setup, environment, baby's sleep patterns, baby's temperament, parents and their preferences and limitations with respect to creating sleep environment. She will also create few hypothesis on the underlying causes and ask questions to confirm her thesis

  3. Homework

    Based on the information gathered from assessment call, Prithi will develop personalised sleep plans that address the specific needs of the baby and family.

  4. Sleep plan call

    In the program, the sleep plans are explained with a short call. The options are discussed and sleep training methods only if required, are explained to the parents and the parents decide on the option they deem to best for their family.The plan is designed only for a week with intermediate goals for every 2-3 days. The intermediate goals will eventually lead to the program goals. The plan is extended at the end of week after looking at progress or any set backs

  5. Continuous engagement

    Prithi provide continuous engagement over WhatsApps, which currently is the most convenient medium. She responds to both text messages and voice notes



What can come out of an engagement with Prithi


  1. Education and guidance

    Sleep coaches like Prithi, educate parents about infant sleep, sleep science, and different sleep training methods, helping them make informed decisions.

  2. Practical plan

    The transition plan designed by Prithi will be specific to your baby and your family constraints. The end goal will be broken into smaller steps to make it easy for for parents to enforce it and your baby will also find it easier to adapt to smaller incremental changer over huge changes.

  3. Support and encouragement

    When parents engage Prithi for a 2 week or 4 weeks program, she also provide support and guidance to parents as they implement the sleep plan. This helps them stay consistent and address any challenges as and when they arise.

  4. Address behavioural issues

    Sleep coaches address behavioural issues related to sleep, such as bedtime battles or resistance to naps, as a part of their solution.


What is beyond the scope of engagement with Prithi

  1. Sleep coaches are counsellor, not medical professionals

  2. As Sleep coach, Prithi does not diagnose or treat medical conditions that might impact sleep. If she suspect it could be medical issue, she will refer out to her partner Pediatric Pulmonologist (Respiratory), who are trained to diagnose or treat medically

  3. As a Sleep coach, Prithi does not prescribe any medication

  4. As a Sleep coach, Prithi does not force any particular method. There are a variety of different options and sleep training methods and she will work with parents to find what works best for their family. However, she will educate on the risks of popular sleep fads

  5. The engagement with Prithi, is time bound and sleep challenge specific. Support or program cannot be extend beyond the initially agreed up on time period and sleep goals
